Cat Merritt

as Rebeckah Johnson

Cat Merritt spent her adolescence in the Texas Hill Country performing plays both on her family's ranch as well as her school's theater stage. It wasn't until she began taking acting classes as "therapy" that she discovered the rawness and addictive vulnerability that the craft of acting had to offer. Cat made her acting debut in the feature film Alita: Battle Angel, which is to be released in summer 2018. Since then, she has appeared television productions such as “Queen of the South” and “Scandal Made Me Famous,” and stars in the award-winning dystopian action adventure independent film Monochrome. She continues her "therapy" classes with mentor, actor and producer Glenn Morshower.

As a multicultural adoptee (Irish/Native American/Creole), Cat enjoys advocating for multicultural adoption and foster care awareness through her platform "Blended Child, Blended Family...A Beautiful Life." Her philanthropic and advocacy work has been communicated nationwide and, although bilingual in Spanish, she aims to become fluent in five additional languages so she may connect to children and families globally.
